Hi! I'm Sammy

I am a Creative developer who grew up in The Netherlands. I love exploring and investigating new ideas turning them into different kinds of (digital) products.

In 2019, I started studying Graphic / Media design where I first worked with Adobe Creative Cloud and was experimenting a lot with programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Later, I expanded into Adobe XD, After Effects, and a bit of Premiere Pro. At the time I started with my internships, I had the opportunity to learn more about Motion Design, something that really stuck with me.

In recent years, I realised I'm a bit of a nerd too. I got into coding and found creating websites always interesting. I started with Wordpress, and eventually obtained a degree in Frontend Design & Development in 2025.

Along the way, I learned more about how to use Github and maintain code on the web. Learned how to make code accessible, structured and refactor it often. Eventually started to work with different frameworks and API's to understand how to build dynamic and more efficient websites.

after I graduated, I realised I have a strong interest in UI/UX. This interest started during a Mobile Design course I followed a few years back, while studying Frontend I realised that I wanted to learn more about UI/UX design. Recently I started taking courses to expand my knowledge even further and getting involved in not just creating web applications, but also realising them.
